APPSC Group II - New Scheme and Syllabus 2023

The government of Andhra Pradesh approved the new syllabus for APPSC Group II services. Accordingly, Screening Test has General Studies and Mental Ability for 150 marks. The main examination comprises only two papers. So far Group-2 Mains was conducted in three papers, but it has been reduced to 2 papers. To this end, GO was released on 6th January 2023. The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has sent proposals to the government based on the report of the expert committee on the exam pattern and syllabus. The government has issued fresh orders approving these.

Earlier Group-2 screening test was conducted for 150 marks. Mains had Paper-1 General Studies. Also, there were two other papers. Mains exams were conducted for 450 marks at the rate of 150 per paper. Changes have been made in this policy from this time. Earlier General Studies which was Paper-1 in Mains has been cancelled and it has been changed to screening test. It will be conducted for 150 marks as before. Mains will be reduced to two papers. Each paper will carry 300 marks of 150 each.
